Abstract

|
Obesity is becoming a social issue as well as a medical problem, and childhood obesity, which affects healthy longevity, can lead to psychological, emotional, and social problems along with the transition to other diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Active management at the social and government level is required. Nevertheless, there are few advanced general hospitals that systematically provide education for obese patients, and it is a reality that interventions for obese patients with diabetes, especially children and adolescents, are rare. As the number of children and adolescents with obesity and diabetes increases, attention should be paid to the approach, including individuals, families, and schools in the community that take into account characteristics and surrounding individuals. In addition, if education is being prepared in the field, changes in each system, including individual patients, take time, and a step-by-step approach is required. In this review, I would like to look at a stepby-step approach for educators on the juvenile obesity.
